JUNIOR  RED DEVILS SQUAD TRAINING SESSIONS

The junior triathlete development program for children aged 8 and over who wants to improve triathlon  skills within a fun, safe and supportive environment.  All abilities welcome and catered for
We will be initiating structured  training sessions under the guidance of our club coaches meeting 3 times a week throughout the season.
We provide regular contact  and supportive training sessions, and can provide parents with guidance for their child’s development and updates on the latest junior training and racing opportunities.
The junior Devils  squad program provides the skills and technique necessary to become well rounded athletes into the future.

We have been lucky enough to receive 4 bikes to  borrow over the course of the season. Please ask Brendan if you are interested in trying one of the bike

RUN SKILLS AND TRAINING SESSIONS

Sessions held on TUESDAYS, 530 pm @ Lawson Park.

Sessions are designed to teach kids running technique through fun,  skills based games. kids will learn, and develop their run skills and fitness in a fun, supportive environment. All kids are asked to bring water, towel and to have the correct running attire, sunscreen and hat.  Little kids are encouraged to attend the Thursday session which is more focused on the younger kids

Thursday  Little devils and big Devils session

This session is for our up and coming  little stars. Matt Webster will be taking these sessions and will include a series drills and  fun activities specifically targeted towards  the little athletes. Suitable for ages up to 10. Older kids are encouraged to attend the Tuesday session

Swimming Squad sessions will be held at the Mudgee Pool on

Monday mornings 7am – 7.45am.                                                                                                               Wednesday  mornings 7am – 7.45am                                                                                                        Friday mornings  7am – 7.45am

Kids will be learning  swim skills specific to triathlon.  Drafting,  pack swimming,  stroke correction, drills and skills.

You must be able to swim at least 50m.  full swim kit  needed for drills,

All training sessions are free and members are encouraged to join in.
For insurance purposes only current junior members of the Mudgee Tri Club are able to participate.

Cycle Squad

Thursdays  530pm @ Victoria Park velodrome

Kids will learn the safety of cycling,  bike handling,  skills  and race skills                                The session runs on a closed circuit so it is safe for the child  to learn how to race in a group situation without the dangers of the open road. Kids will learn specific skills for triathlon along with  transitions, mounting,  dismounting, drafting,   bike handling.

For track  cycling training we also encourage members to join the Mudgee Cycle Club.
