The Mudgee Triathlon Club embraces the spirit of family, friendship and fun in the growing popularity of this great sport of triathlon.

We have races to suit all ages as well as different levels of fitness and ability – whether you’re just dipping your toe in to test the waters of triathlon, or someone who has a fit lifestyle and enjoys the comraderie of training and racing against other like-minded people.

Our club prides itself on its relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It doesn’t matter if you haven’t got the latest gear – all we want is for you to love this sport as much as we do! So grab your swimmers and a pair of goggles; dust off that old bike in the shed, and lace up your runners! Once you’ve experienced the fun of triathlon, you’ll be hooked!

So, just what do you need to bring to do a race?
Listed below are the basics. Mandatory items are marked in bold; anything extra is a bonus.


• Towel

• Goggles

• Swimming cap (especially if you have long hair)
Bicycle (ANY bike is OK - just ensure tyres are pumped up and brakes are in good working order)

Helmet (must be approved Australian Standards)

Singlet or shirt (torso must be covered when riding. Swimsuit or crop top is fine for women)

Appropriate covered footwear (runners or cycle shoes)

• Bike shorts
Running shoes

• Socks
General items that may be handy: Sunglasses, suncreen, hat

Set-up is from 6am. Registration opens at 7am.

Race fees for the 2018/19 season are as follows:

Mudgee Tri Club members: FREE

Tri-Australia members belonging to another club:
Juniors (under 18 years) & Super Sprint (aka Short Course) – $5
Long Course – $10

Non-member Race Fees:
Juniors  – $5
Super Sprint (aka Short Course) $20
Long Course– $20
Team  – $30 per team

Non-members must complete a One Day Membership form prior to each race and are strictly limited to 3 races throughout the season.

All our races are timed and we encourage members to wear their chip for each race – our results are generated automatically so if you don’t wear a chip we cannot allocate a a place, time or receive competition points. Chips can be purchased for $10.
