The Mudgee Running Festival is well known for its relaxed friendly atmosphere which is perfect for the first timer who's looking for a no-pressure race, yet is still a course that is challenging to the experienced marathoner.

The course weaves itself through the picturesque Mudgee valley; past vineyards, farmland, grazing cattle, and a band of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers cheering you on!

All competitors for the Marathon and Half Marathon receive a quality Cool-Dri Competitors' T-shirt with successful finishers also receiving a Finishers' medal. Bottles of outstanding Mudgee wine, courtesy of Pieter van Gent Winery, are awarded to place-getters, and spot prizes. 

5 & 10k Fun Runs on the Saturday and Half & Full Marathon on the Sunday.
THIS YEAR, ALL RACES COMMENCE FROM LAWSON PARK.

It's a fun family event and a great festival atmosphere - a Jumping Castle for the kids, food/drinks, merchandise tents, and very importantly, a good coffee van onsite! On Sunday, there's a free BBQ lunch for runners, and hot soup, crusty rolls & desserts, with lots available for supporters for a small fee - so we'd love it if you'd stay for Presentation.

Event Merchandise will be available for purchase on both days - T-shirts, caps and bags featuring our new running festival logo.

Take a long weekend to enjoy your Mudgee experience. On Saturday, browse the Farmer's Market in the morning and then head over to Pieter van Gent Winery at 11.30am to spit on their floor! You get to sample wines-in-progress, thieved from the barrel in their working barrel room, concluding with tasting finished wines at their Cellar Door.
